§ At the ceremony marking its 55th anniversary, AlGomhuria Newspaper honored Mahmoud Abdel Latif, Chairman of Bank of Alexandria – Intesa Sanpaolo for his influential role in the financial and corporate restructuring of the Bank of Alexandria, later privatized in October 2006. Latif was also recognized for having expanded the Bank's presence and market share and improved profits and other performance indicators.
