In Brief

 

·  Banca Intesa and Sanpaolo IMI merged on the 1st of January 2007, giving birth to the biggest financial group in Italy and the third among EU countries.

·  The new entity's market capitalization is euro 71bn, while the share capital surpasses euro6.6bn and the share face value is euro0.52.  

·  The Registered Office is in Turin, while the Secondary Office is in Milan.  

·  The new entity will apply the Dual Management Model. According to such model, there will be a Supervisory Board chaired by Giovanni Bazoli, Intesa's Chairman, and a Management Board chaired by Enrico Salza, Sanpaolo's Chairman.
