Mr Mahmoud abdel Latif, Chairman and CEO of the Bank, Ms Fatma Lotfy, First Deputy chairman and Managing director have signed the contract of purchasing the rights of the "SME Toolkit" website for the SME Division at the Fairmont Hotel with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), whereby AlexBank becomes the only bank in Egypt to hold the license to upload the IFC's SME Toolkit on its website in both Arabic and English.

Signing on the side of IFC was Mr. Lars Thunnel, CEO of IFC, in the attendance of IFC team, representatives from IBM the tech-support of the website and a number of reporters, as well as the SME division team of Alexbank and a group of division heads.

The agreement is intended to launch on its website a world-class web-based management system implemented in more than 35 countries. The SME Toolkit offers on-line business management information, forms, interactive tools and educational resources that help SMEs improve their managerial skills, productivity, efficiency, capacity, as well as their accessibility to finance and new markets.

A new milestone for Alexbank and a new positive signal in the field of CSR, coming to endorse the Bank's position in the SMEs market and support and enhance its strategy aimed at increasing technical and consulting services offered to small businesses. Further, this agreement will help Alexbank to reach his goal of increasing financing opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses in order to help them grow and develop the Egyptian economy.
