ALEXBANK is strategic partner and official sponsor of the 4th Annual CSR Conference
Cairo, 16th April 2018: ALEXBANK participates as a strategic partner and official sponsor in the 4th Annual CSR Conference, which was organized in cooperation with the Federation of Egyptian industries (FEI), the International Labor Organization (ILO), Sawiris Foundation for Social Development (SFSD), the American University in Cairo (AUC) and the Professional Development Foundation (PDF). The conference was marked by the presence of more than 2,000 members from several businessmen associations, chambers of different industries, investors associations, NGOs, universities, research centers, numerous benefactors and international organizations, in addition to a number of senior government officials, academics and media representatives.
The bank’s participation to the conference stems from its role in the field of social development, and its commitment towards achieving the 2030 vision for sustainable development. On the sidelines of the conference, a special exhibition for “Ebda3 Men Masr”, ALEXBANK’s leading CSV initiative, was on display.
Laila Hosny, Head of CSR and Sustainable Development at ALEXBANK, said: “ALEXBANK is proud of its participation for the 2nd consecutive year in the conference, bringing the pride for a further affirmation of its flagship CSV initiative “Ebda3 Men Masr”, which grew significantly since last year and kept empowering the artisans it supports, by assisting their talents’ refinement, growing their access to local and international markets and fully integrating them in the economy and in the financial circuit as well, by tangibly encouraging them to use electronic payment solutions”.
She added “Our participation in the CSR conference stems from ALEXBANK’s responsibility towards the community, as we pay special attention to achieving economic development and creating job opportunities, especially in underprivileged areas where we see substantial unutilized potentials. This aims at boosting social and economic affirmation particularly of women and youth living in remote areas, who can provide a decisive contribution to enhance the speed of development when fully integrated in the economic cycle.”
ALEXBANK will also be part of the second Annual Matchmaking Forum that will be held during the 2nd day of the conference, where 10 of the best-performing and promising NGOs in Egypt were invited to participate in a professional platform to present their current CSR projects and initiatives for promotion, receive advisory and consultancy services offered by the attending CSR experts, adopt promising initiatives and create partnerships with them.
