Egyptian Gender Equity Seal
In 2022, ALEXBANK succeeded in receiving Egypt’s Gender Equity Seal (EGES) certification from the National Council for Women (NCW) and the World Bank, as a result of its efforts in applying gender equity practices in the private sector, following the World Bank gender equity model across the areas of employment, career development, work-life balance, and anti-harassment policies. This certification affirms the Bank’s commitment in observing the core principles of diversity and inclusion in its work environment, and its keenness on empowering women on economic and social levels, following Intesa Sanpaolo’s ESG targets and vision as well as Egypt’s strategic direction towards women’s empowerment, to feed the achievement of its sustainable development goals. By attaining the gender seal, ALEXBANK reinforces its commitment to provide Egyptian women with growth opportunities through a multidimensional approach.
Best Bank for CSR in the Middle East
Our work culminated to ALEXBANK being awarded “Best Bank for Corporate Social Responsibility in the Middle East”, by EUROMONEY, one of the most prominent international magazines in assessing banks and the performance of financial institutions.
Socially Impactful Project
H.E. Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, Tarek Amer, bestowed our “Ebda3 men Masr” initiative the award for “Most Socially Impactful Project in the Banking Sector” was presented to by the Central Bank of Egypt.
The “Energy Efficiency” Award
ALEXBANK received a special award in recognition of its efforts in transforming the conventional lighting system in seven premises into an efficient LED-lighting system. The “Energy Efficiency” award, supported by the National Energy Efficiency Improvement Project was presented by H.E. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy.
