For the 2nd Consecutive Year, ALEXBANK is the Strategic Partner to the Egyptian Pavilion at “L’Artigiano in Fiera” in Rho - Milan to Foster the Creative Economy of Egypt

Cairo, Egypt – December 01st, 2019 - As part of its commitment towards Corporate Social Responsibility and the Creation of Shared Value, for the second consecutive year ALEXBANK supports the participation of Egyptian artisans at “L’Artigiano in Fiera” through its flagship initiative “Ebda3 Men Masr”. Egypt’s presence in Milan this year is exceptional being Egypt the exhibition’s Country of Honour under the auspices of the Ministries of Social Solidarity and Trade & Industry. L’Artigiano in Fiera gives Egyptian artisans the chance to present their unique products at a global scale among artisans from more than 100 countries and increases their experience and export opportunities. 

The exhibition is taking place at Fiera Milano, Rho, starting from the 30th of November until 8th of December under the auspices of the Ministries of Social Solidarity and Trade & Industry, where 50 Egyptian exhibitors will present their productions. The categories of the crafts include jewellery, handmade furnishings, pottery, copper accessories, home decor and textiles. It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian Pavilion at Fiera Milano is supported by ALEXBANK as strategic partner, “Export Development Authority - the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s implementing arm -  as main sponsor and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Egypt and Expo-Link as organizers

H.E. Dr. Ghada Wali, Minister of Social Solidarity, said: "Egypt's participation as a guest of honour is a significant marketing opportunity for all crafts makers and artisans to showcase their products at one of the most visited handicraft exhibitions in the world and the largest in Europe, which is visited by more than 1.2 million visitors.  Our participation in " L’Artigiano in Fiera" is in line with the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s strategy in regards to creating marketing opportunities outside Egypt for the Egyptian artisans and members of productive families associations not only to market their products but to learn about and compete with the most skilled craftsmen from all over the world, besides the opportunity to identify importers and exporters and open new markets for Egyptian products. "

"The preparations for this exhibition began since last year when it was agreed with the Italian side that Egypt would be the country of honour after Senegal which was the country of honour for last year’s edition. We have worked over the past months with ALEXBANK, the Italian Chamber of Commerce and the Italian Embassy to make Egypt's participation impressive and expressive about our heritage in handicrafts field which is extended across different governorates in Egypt, that’s why we were keen to select exhibitors from more than one province from northern to southern Egypt” Wali added.
